Digimarc Corporation announced the release of Version 2.0 of its iDigimarc IDMarc product line. Digimarc IDMarc is a covert, machine-readable digital watermark that transforms portraits and artwork on identity documents into interlocking digital security elements that enable document inspection applications such as ID authentication, age verification and forensic analysis. Released in conjunction with IDMarc v2.0, Digimarc also announced the IDMarc Inspector Series to provide ready-to-deploy inspection capabilities for use by law enforcement and DMV personnel. This set of inspector products in combination with a Digimarc-certified reader device provides intra- and cross-jurisdictional driver license authentication. These products include the IDMarc Document Inspector for ensuring the authenticity of driver licenses; IDMarc Forensic Inspector for aiding in the analysis of document attacks; and the IDMarc Age Inspector for verifying the age of a cardholder.
